Asia'h Epperson Got Kicked off American Idol

The results are in and Asia'h Epperson lost American Idol.

The contestant Entertainment Weekly called a shoo-in for the Top 12 was sent home. Singing Whitney Houston's, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody", Asia'h Epperson was the first to go up and that might have been her ultimate undoing. With seven women performing after her and vying for the six spots, she may have been forgotten by the voters by the end of the show.

Asia'h didn't make the contest an easier for herself either, by repeated tackling tough songs as further illustrated by performing Celine Dion's version of "All By Myself" the week before.

Who else got kick off?

The multiple elimination show also saw Kady Malloy, Luke Menard and Danny Noriega get cut. The tension was intensified by American Idol's customary practice of drawing out the results. In the end I agree that Kady, Luke and Danny were the right choices to go home this week, but I am truly disappointed that we are saying goodbye to Asia'h Epperson.

She dealt with a great personal tragedy when her father was killed in an automobile accident just two days before the Atlanta American Idol auditions. She must have drawn tremendous strength from that because from day one, she has consistently given it her all.

She is a beautiful girl as can be seen in many contestant pictures and video and I am positive March 6, did not mark the end of Asia'h Epperson's career, but only the beginning.
